The ten-name roster comes from Neoseeker's romance guide. It is a community list, not a developer-published exhaustive partner table. A character can have an affinity scene without a demonstrated complete romance: this is why Victoria, Goberto and Chester are not silently added.
How to progress a Knight relationship
- Open the character's route. Recruitment, county decisions or an earlier mercy choice can be prerequisites.
- Visit available Tower conversations. Personal scenes reveal the character's values and may unlock the next event.
- Resolve personal quests. Gideon's origins and Oliver's education cannot be replaced by repeatedly selecting generally pleasant dialogue.
- Choose an explicit relationship response when offered. A heart increase is not itself a completed romance.
- Keep track of the final roster and relationship state. Character epilogues are separate from the main political decision.
Favourite meals and preferred quests can help with affinity, but they do not provide a universal shortcut past story gates. The roster database reports meal effects; the official patch notes do not publish one complete romance formula.
The best-documented personal routes
Gwendan's early scenes concern his throne performance and dissatisfaction with Tower soup. Later scenes differ between his pretentious and humble states. Check the debt and reform branch before assuming a payment selects the humble route.
Ursula's scenes move from a strange drink to music, childhood and memory. Her immortality makes a previous death meaningful, but repeated deaths can worsen her condition. Read Ursula's route before deliberately risking her.
Brunhilda's conversations connect family, political books and the Silent Courtroom. Her county allegiance is the larger lock: pursuing Tarcus through Mathilda's loyalist branch is not the same recruitment setup.
Gideon's deeper scenes follow his parentage reveal. The final documented library scene develops the story of Candid and Shamrock into a mutual confession. Oliver's later conversations instead revolve around education, overwork and the relationship between a Sovereign and an employee. Each route needs its own answers.
Can you romance several characters?
The available guides and comments report jealousy or affinity losses when relationships overlap. One Neoseeker account describes losing Ursula's affection after pursuing the Lady. That is evidence of an interaction in that run, not proof of one fixed penalty for every partner combination.
Dismissing and reinviting a Knight is sometimes discussed as a workaround, but the evidence does not establish it as a reliable reset. Preserve a save before a second explicit commitment if the first relationship matters to your intended ending.
Romance fixes in 1.0.11 and 1.1.0
The official 1.0.11 notes fix Carina being impossible to romance. The Carina entry explains her verified introduction and the remaining limits of the published route.
Patch 1.1.0 fixes Gideon's incorrect Lost Child ending, mentions of Gideon when another character was married, and affinity problems involving a romanced Knight leaving the Round Table. These are changes to older faulty behaviour, not permanent romance restrictions.
Relationship endings versus political Marriage
Show romance and ending interaction
The political Marriage resolution in older ending guides is distinct from the individual Knight romances. A character's relationship state can alter their slide while the reign still ends through War, Peace or another political branch.
The endings guide separates those layers and the new 1.1.0 branches. If a character ending looks wrong, first check the personal route, current roster and version rather than assuming one political choice controls everything.
