Recruit Silgur through the Beast branch
- Open Groveshire's storyline.
- Resolve the Beast route through the ordinary kill outcome rather than taming or curing it.
- Avoid assigning Angelica to that decisive Beast task if your target is Silgur.
- Read the county's return and alliance audiences, then accept Silgur's candidacy.
Guidexon's recruitment guide distinguishes Silgur from the Wolf/Rufus alternatives. Those are other branch outcomes, not extra requirements for his own recruitment.
The opening walkthrough shows one Groveshire-first sequence using Gwendan and Ursula for the Beast. Different quest timing and availability can move the later audience.

The Raider King roster lists Hunter, Forester, Patient and Poacher. Agility and Wits are his stronger starting values; equipment may be needed to cover Strength-heavy work.
Patient is described as useful for longer assignments and particular Hunt, Help and People Involved situations. Poacher includes a Dragon downside despite Silgur's later Dragon Knight storyline. That tension is a reason to examine the full assignment instead of assuming a hunter always wins.
Dragon Knight ambush
In the Cycle 8 source, Silgur proposes an ambush. The author selects it over direct confrontation and uses additional Knights, including Gwendan and Angelica.
That playthrough obtains a Great Success and a Dragon Heart. The reward is reported for that result; the same party names do not guarantee it with different stats, injuries or equipment. Check whether Silgur is already assigned and fill the remaining slots according to the current quest.

Show Silgur route spoilers
The community transformation account says to speak to Silgur on the next cycle, before other characters, and give him the Dragon Heart. Preserve that reported order when following this route rather than spending or redirecting the reward first.
Keep the acquisition result separate from the follow-up: owning a Dragon Heart is not itself confirmation that Silgur's changed state or associated character outcome has completed.
The exact timing of every follow-up is not independently established across all branches. Preserve the ambush save and inspect the next audience rather than inventing an automatic transformation on a fixed day.
If Silgur does not arrive
Check the county choice, whether the Beast was killed rather than tamed or cured, whether Angelica took part, and whether the alliance sequence actually returned. A different Beast result is a branch difference, not necessarily a bug.
For the Gavault alternative, compare Brunhilda and Tarcus. Use all Knights for Wolf and Rufus's directory entries, or endings when deciding which character state to retain for the finale.
